Nobody knows for sure whether dinosaurs were
cold or warm-blooded Reptiles are cold-blooded. Birds, on the other hand, are
warm-blooded. If dinosaurs were cold-blooded, they would have had to warm
themselves in the sun as reptiles do today. However, if they were warm-blooded,
they would not have needed to warm themselves and could have remained active
even in low temperatures.The discovery of a dinosaur called Willo (see right), whose heart was intact, supports the theory that dinosaurs were cold-blooded. However, many palaeontologists believe that the lifestyle of a dinosaur was not that of a cold-blooded animal since dinosaurs were quite active creatures.

wären, müssten sie sich nicht wärmen und könnten bei
niedrigeren Temperaturen aktiv bleiben. Der Fund (s. links) von einem Dinosaurier namens Willo, dessen Herz intakt war, unterstützt die Theorie, dass Dinosaurier kaltblütig waren, doch viele Paläontologen glauben, dass der Lebensstil eines Dinosauriers nicht zu einem kaltblütigen Tier gehört, da Dinosaurier ziemlich aktiv waren.
