English versionI have been to quite a few dinosaur museums in different countries. I have written about them here so you can see what they are like before you go there. Mèze, France

Mèze, Frankreich
Mèze is a town on the Mediterranean coast of France. Interesting dinosaur eggs have been found here and the museum has its own dig excavating a nest site.
More		 Meze Mèze ist ein Dorf an der Mittelmeerküste Frankreichs. Interessante Dinosauriereier wurden hier gefunden und das Museum hat sogar eine eigene Ausgrabungstätte mit Eiern.

Esperaza is a small town in the department of Aude in the French Pyrenees. It has got a lot of interesting skeletons and reconstructions and you can even visit a working dig.

Corgnac, France

Corgnac is a small town in the Dordogne in south-western France. The museum is a working farm where dinosaur footprints were found in 1995 right outside the front door! The footprints are from the early jurassic (200 million years ago) and were made by a total of five different dinosaurs.
More		 Esperaza Corgnac ist ein kleines Dorf im Département Dordogne im Südwesten Frankreichs. Das Museum ist ein Bauernhof, wo 1995 Dinosaurierfußspuren direkt vor der Haustür gefunden wurden! Die Fußspuren stammen aus dem frühen Jura (vor 200 Millionen Jahren) und wurden von fünf verschiedenen Dinosauriern hinterlassen.

The Natural History Museum is in Kensington in south west London. Although it is not purely a dinosaur museum, there are lots of skeletons and other exhibits to see.

The Kelvin Grove Museum is free, like most Glasgow Museums. It has models of a T-Rex, a Sauropod and a Pterosaur, which like most of the Dinosaur exhibition is out of date.

The Natural History Museum in Berlin, is huge and has the best collection of dinosaur and reptile fossils in Germany. Apart from the world famous Brachiosaurus there are more than 30 other fossils of the most important groups of extinct reptiles.

The Natural History Museum in Maastricht is in a very attractive building next to a small deer park. In this museum you can learn a lot about the natural history of the Limburg region. One of the major exhibits is the skeleton of a giant mosasaur.
More		 Maastricht Das Museum für Naturkunde in Maastricht ist in einem sehr schönen Gebäude neben einem kleinen Tierpark. In diesem Museum erfährt man viel über die Gesichte des Lebens in Limburg. Außerdem ist dort das Skelett eines riesigen Mosasauriers zu sehen.

This is the only museum in Canada that is devoted entirely to palaeontology. It is called the Tyrrell museum because it was Joseph Tyrrell who found the bones of Albertosaurus near the site of the museum in 1884.
More		 Royal Tyrrell Museum Das Tyrrell Museum ist das einzige in Kanada, das nur Paläontologie ausstellt. Es heißt Tyrrell, weil Joseph Tyrrell 1884 in der Nähe des Museums die Knochen des ersten Albertosaurus fand.

The Dinosaur Museum, Blanding, Utah, USA
This is a small museum devoted entirely to dinosaurs. Because the town is small and there are no tourists the rest of the year, it is only open during the summer months, from April 15th to October 15th.
More		 Blanding Dieses Museum ist klein und hat nur Dinosaurier. Weil das Dorf klein ist und weil es im Winter keine Touristen gibt macht das Museum nur vom 15. April bis zum 15. Oktober auf.

You find this small museum in Fruita in North West Colorado, USA. It is a little way south of the town and you can't miss the model stegosaurus and tyrannosaurus on top of the sign outside.

Dinosaur National Monument was created in 1915 to preserve one of the world's largest concentrations of Jurassic Age dinosaur remains. It covers a large part of NE Utah and NW Colorado.
