Dinosaur National Monument was created in
1915 to preserve one of the world's largest concentrations of Jurassic Age
dinosaur remains. It covers a large part of NE Utah and NW Colorado. Here you
will find sandstone canyons and dramatic white water rivers. There is no public
transport to the park so you must have your own. The nearest town is Vernal, a
30 min drive away. Cost of entry to the Monument is $10 per car however many
are in it. Most people just go to the Visitor Center.

gegrundet. Es verbreitet sich über ein Großteil NO Utah und NW
Colorado. Hier findet man Sandstein Schluchten und dramatische Flüsse. Es
gibt keine öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel dahin, also braucht man selber ein
Auto. Der nächste Ort ist Vernal und der Eintritt costet $10 pro Auto egal
wieviele im Auto sitzen. Die meisten Leute besuchen nur das Visitor
Center.There is no separate entry fee to the Centre, which opens daily from 8 to 5 in the summer and weekdays from 8 to 4:30 in the winter. There is an interesting 10 minute orientation film about the area.
This is a museum with a difference. In the VC is a palaeontology lab, exhibits, a bookstore and uniquely a rock wall containing 1500 fossil bones.
Das Center ist im Preis mit dabei. Es hat im Sommer täglich von 8 bis 17 Uhr und im Winter von 8 bis 16:30 Uhr geöffnet. Es gibt einen interessanten 10 Minuten Film über die Gegend.
Im Visitor Center sind ein Labor, Ausstellungsstücke, ein Büchergeschäfft und eine Steinwand mit mehr als 1500 Knochen.
You can walk right along by the quarry wall and nobody minds you touching the bones that are exposed, at least as far as you can reach. Then you can go upstairs and look from higher up. This gives you an even better view. You see hundreds of bones just sticking out from the wall waiting to be excavated.
Man darf alle Knochen anfassen, an die man rankommt. Man kann auch nach oben gehen und von oben gucken. Von da kann man noch besser sehen. Man sieht hunderte Knochen einfach in der Wand.
